Krider Racing is getting geared up this week to run the ChumpCar 24 hour enduro at the Streets of Willow Springs, January 30-31, 2010. Staying up all night shouldn’t be a problem with the help of Mr. Coffee, but keeping the car out of trouble for 24 hours is a whole other story. There will be live coverage of the race at Speed Sport Life. To read a write up on the ChumpCar World Series check out this Racer Boy link: ChumpCar Claimer Road Racing.

Crap-Can Racing Season Begins

The 2010 Crap-Can racing season began last weekend with the ChumpCar World Series event at Infineon Raceway. Two seven hour enduros were held for $500 cars to do battle on the world famous racing course. Many motors were harmed during the event (what do you expect for $500?) but fun was had by all who attended (even those who did three motor swaps). The racing was very close both days with less than thirty seconds separating some of the podium finishers. The next ChumpCar event will be a true 24 hour race held at Willow Springs in Southern California on January 30th and 31st.

The Infineon Raceway garages show the calm before the storm. The ChumpCar World Series race will begin Saturday at 9:00 a.m. officially kicking off the 2010 crap-can racing season. Race teams from all over the West Coast have decended on Infineon to try battle it out on the historic racetrack. Infineon has been home to such racing series as NASCAR, IndyCar, American Le Mans Series and now it will be home to the infamous ChumpCar, endurance racing for $500 cars.
